• NIH Biographical Sketch for the P.I. and any Co-Investigator(s)
  
• Narrative (limit 7 pages)

• Quality of the Investigator
  
• Relevance to Asthma

Awards:

Awards are available to investigators in the U.S. and Canada, and are offered at two levels:

• Senior Investigator Awards - $250,000 per year for three years
  
• Early Excellence Awards - $150,000 per year for three years

Each year, SPAR provides 10-14 new Awards. The proportion of Senior Investigator and Early Excellence Awards varies from year to year.

Develop important new pathways of investigation in basic research regarding asthma.

Aims:

• Support highly innovative research.
  
• Draw outstanding investigators from other fields into the study of asthma.
  
• Support asthma research by excellent investigators who are early in their faculty careers.
